News Release Alert

Mercury isn’t the only thing that’s rising during this stifling summer heatwave! The jackpots for both the Monday night Powerball drawing and the Tuesday night Mega Millions drawing have climbed to near-record highs to kick off the week.

The jackpot for the Monday, July 27 Powerball is set at $633 Million, with a $277.3 million cash option. Tonight marks the 37

th

drawing during this jackpot run, making it the largest Powerball prize in 2026 so far!

Powerball has seen several big winners this year, as the game has been hit five times in 2026, including a $143 million jackpot that was hit in Kansas and Indiana in April. Powerball tickets start at $2, with the option of adding the Powerplay Multiplier for an additional $1. Powerball draws on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

Not to be outdone, Mega Millions has climbed up to an incredible $800 million for the Tuesday, July 25 drawing. The jackpot has a cash option of $344 million. Mega Millions has rolled 37 times since the jackpot was last hit in March for $533 million.

Mega Millions tickets are $5 per play. This automatically includes a multiplier, meaning any non-jackpot prize won in the game will at least be a 2X winner. Mega Millions draws on Tuesdays and Fridays.

A reminder that Kansas Lottery players can purchase Powerball, Mega Millions, other draw games, and even play eInstant games through the Lottery’s website and mobile app. See www.kslottery.com for more details.
